Project Manager - Telecommunications

Responsible for planning and coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects and deliverables, are accomplished within specified timeframes and funding parameters,  and to agreed standards of quality. Oversees and directs management for larger or more complex telecommunications projects. Communicates directly with other site managers, and contractors and engineers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling. Prepare project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.  

Project management experience in the development of medium to large scale telecommunications infrastructure projects or consolidations, and/or large construction project management; strong and proven capabilities across all phases of project management; leadership for direction setting, clarifying and identifying appropriate issues and risks to be mitigated and which to escalate for project success; strong communication skills; able to leverage other PMs and/or subject matter experts to achieve project goals; proven ability to lead executive teams through complex projects and reach consensus.  Will lead or supervise and direct work of others.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, with a minimum four (4) years directly related experience in telecommunications project management; or associates degree with six (6) years of telecommunications project management; or combination experience and training,  or ten (10) years direct and progressive experience in managing mid to large scale telecommunications projects.
  • Proficiency with Word, Power Point presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and use of project management software. 
  • Must possess a valid driver license.
  • Demonstrated safe driving record required to operate a client / company vehicle or a vehicle for business purposes.
  • Able to read, write and speak English.
  • This position requires that you work irregular hours and be able to travel anywhere in the continental United States.
  • Background, references, and education checks, and drug screening required.
